Mike Penzone is a hydrologist with DNREC’s Remediation Section where he focuses on Delaware’s PFAS response, including site evaluations, site investigations, and state-led initiatives. Previously, Mike worked as both a Geotechnical and Environmental consultant for 8 years and at the Pennsylvania DEP Southeast Regional Office as a project officer for Land Recycling and storage tank sites for 10 years. Mike has 20+ years in the environmental industry and currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council (ITRC). Mike is a life-long resident of the Philadelphia area, earned his BS from West Chester University in Environmental Geology, and is a Licensed Professional Geologist in both Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Ping Wang earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Geology from Jilin University, China.  He then came to the US and obtained his Ph.D. in Geology from Virginia Tech. Ping worked as an Exploration Geologist for an oil company and as an Environmental Geologist at a consulting firm before joining DNREC in 2018.  Currently, Ping works as a hydrogeologist in the Division of Water.  He leads the PFAS in Wastewater project of the Department.
