Disinfection and Basic Lab Procedure

This 3-hour course is for the novice operator or an operator who needs a refresher about Basic Lab regarding sampling and testing water for process control within a WTP and the distribution system. Types and methods of samples will be reviewed. A review of record keeping and reporting responsibilities will be reviewed. The process and types of disinfection and disinfectants of such as chlorine gas and ozone will be reviewed. A simple review of “breakpoint disinfection” will be discussed.
