Course Description

Attendees will be shown the proper PFAS sampling technique for drinking water sampling. Attendees, if willing, can collect a PFAS sample for practice and confidence building. Attendees will be invited to discuss issues they have experienced in the field while sampling, and the instructor will provide ideas on how to deal with these issues without compromising their PFAS samples. PFAS reports can be daunting to read and understand. The instructor will provide an overview and explanation of common acronyms used on PFAS reports. Additionally, it will be explained what information is the most critical to understand from your reports in the context of upcoming PFAS drinking water regulations.

Instructor: Jess Anton

Jess is a passionate environmental scientist with a specific interest in how people are impacted by environmental issues and contamination. Jess has worked for the Center for PFAS Solutions for five years, growing into her role as Head of Laboratory Operations and Services. She holds a MS in Soil Science and enjoys the challenges involved with analytical science and trace analysis at the Center.
