FREE CLASS

This class will be an introduction for you and your family into emergency preparation for storms and related emergencies.  The NIMS ICS system allows municipalities the opportunity to be better prepared and to better manage the emergencies that are sure to comfort all of us.  This class is directed to those of us that will be accountable for organizing and planning for those emergencies.

Wayne Hutchison started his career in Emergency Services in 1964.  During his career he has served as Fire Chief of the Townsend Fire Company and of the Dover Fire Department.  He served as a field medic in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970, at which time he was honorably discharged.  He began his teaching career with the Delaware State Fire School in 1978 and taught for them as a Field Instructor until 1986, at which time he became one of seven full time Senior Instructors.  As a Senior Instructor, he managed all of the EMS and Rescue programs.  Wayne retired from the Delaware State Fire School in 1996 and went on to work in Emergency Services and Safety until 2003 when he began his position as Deputy Fire Marshall with the City of Dover.  In 2007 Wayne was promoted to the position of Emergency Management Coordinator and served as such until he retired in 2010.  He now does contract work for various agencies as a Safety Instructor.
