This 6-hour course is designed to prepare Delaware water operators for the aeration endorsement examination by providing a comprehensive overview of aeration principles, system components, and operational practices. Participants will learn the fundamentals of aeration, including its role in displacing contaminants, oxidizing nuisance metals, and improving water quality. The course will cover different aeration system designs, key variables that affect performance, and effective monitoring and management strategies to ensure compliance and system efficiency. Instruction will combine technical discussion with practical application, equipping operators with the knowledge and skills needed to confidently operate and optimize aeration systems in water treatment.
